Ensure timely and smooth completion of customs clearance, hauling transportation, and bonded movement.
Effectively manage and control all related costs incurred from port to factory.
Key Responsibilities
Document Processing & Coordination
Handle necessary documentation including invoices, Bill of Lading (BL), Free Trade Agreements (FTA), packing lists, etc.
Work closely with the finance and China team to apply for Letters of Credit (LC) and contracts.
Ensure LC or contract issuance is completed before cargo is shipped from China.
Documentation Follow-up
Communicate with the China team to obtain the full set of documents before goods arrive at the port.
Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with finance, customs clearance agents, shipping agents, and banks to ensure smooth clearance and transportation to the factory.
Cost Control & Payment Processing
Be detail-oriented and cost-sensitive—verify expense calculations and ensure they are market competitive.
Submit accurate payment applications and follow up with the finance team to ensure timely payments.
Customs Compliance
Be familiar with customs policies and procedures.
Understand how to utilize import quotas or adjust commercial invoice values against VR values to reduce duties.
General Responsibilities
Complete other tasks assigned by management.
Provide practical solutions to save tariffs and reduce other import-related costs
Qualifications
Proven experience in customs handling within an import/export or international company.
Strong data management skills; proficiency in Excel is preferred.
Demonstrated involvement in significant customs/import-related projects or cases is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
