Based in Hyderabad, this role at EY presents a unique opportunity to lead agile technology teams within a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services. As Manager II, Technical Scrum Lead, you will spearhead innovation by integrating emerging technologies such as AI and Data Analytics into enterprise-wide projects. Operating within EY’s Client Technology unit, you will collaborate closely with technologists and business experts to deliver impactful technology solutions that enhance both internal operations and client services. This position requires strong leadership in agile methodologies, deep technical expertise, and a dedication to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, hire, evaluate, and supervise cross-functional agile teams, providing guidance and training to foster high performance aligned with business objectives. Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles to promote continuous learning and process adaptation, thereby improving solution quality. Collaborate with product owners to define and prioritize technology outcomes, balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic goals to drive a shared vision. Embed agile best practices throughout delivery, manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, schedule, and budget, and facilitate all scrum ceremonies. Remove impediments to product development, monitor sprint progress, and motivate teams to meet sprint goals effectively.

Design and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify performance issues across platforms including AWS, Unix, and Mainframe. Conduct end-to-end incident triage and troubleshooting using logs, telemetry, and diagnostic data to restore services promptly. Develop machine learning models aimed at predicting and preventing incidents, thereby enhancing detection and response times. Lead incident management processes, maintain response playbooks, document lessons learned, and communicate improvements to stakeholders. Work closely with application development and DevOps teams to improve system reliability, operational maturity, and reduce false alerts. Promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and continuously refine monitoring strategies. Participate in special projects and support a 24×7 support model as required.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Agile software development, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing large cross-functional teams on enterprise initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required; a graduate degree is preferred. AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is mandatory, with AWS Solutions Architect certification considered a plus. Hands-on experience of 8+ years as an operations engineer, full stack developer, or automation engineer is essential.

Proficient in IT project management, Agile methodologies, SDLC best practices, risk management, budgeting, and IT governance. Strong technical skills in Node.js, TypeScript, ECS, Kubernetes, Kore.AI, Android, and iOS development. Experience in incident management, stakeholder communication, and cross-team collaboration is required. Expertise with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and IAM, as well as REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems. Skilled in automation and tooling using Python, Java, Selenium, and observability tools. Familiarity with agile tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps and Confluence is expected.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP, or ICAgile Certified Professional are highly desirable. Experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools including Honeycomb, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, ThousandEyes, and working knowledge of Unix/Mainframe environments is advantageous. Background in networking, connectivity troubleshooting, and AI/LLM-powered application development will be beneficial.
