Team Lead Accounts & Finance

We are looking for a seasoned accounting professional to lead and manage the daily accounting and bookkeeping functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure precise and timely financial record-keeping, oversee marketplace payout reconciliations across multiple e-commerce platforms, and deliver insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. This role demands strong leadership to supervise the accounting team, maintain robust financial controls, and work closely with our US-based CPA on compliance and tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates of all financial records.
- Oversee marketplace payout and settlement reconciliations across various e-commerce platforms, verifying payments, deductions, fees, refunds, chargebacks, and other transactions.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and business expenses to maintain overall financial health.
- Maintain accurate accounting data within the company’s ERP and accounting systems.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and other management reports.
- Identify financial discrepancies, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution to uphold data integrity.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls, reconciliation procedures, and accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate directly with the US-based CPA on accounting, reporting, taxation, and compliance matters.
- Support the preparation and organization of financial information required for US tax filings and regulatory compliance.
- Provide timely and accurate financial insights to management to aid informed business decisions.
- Lead and supervise the accounting and finance team, assigning responsibilities and monitoring performance to meet deadlines.
- Continuously improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting systems in line with business growth.

Required Qualifications

- 6 to 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
- At least 2 to 3 years in a leadership role such as Team Lead, Accounting Supervisor, or Senior Accountant.
- Strong hands-on expertise in bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting controls.
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing Profit & Loss statements, cash flow reports, and management reports.
- Solid understanding of marketplace payout and transaction reconciliation; e-commerce accounting experience is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of US accounting standards and taxation requirements.
- Experience collaborating with US-based CPAs, accountants, tax advisors, or external finance professionals.
- Proficiency in ERP and accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify financial discrepancies and control weaknesses.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently manage accounting operations while effectively leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

- Experience working with US-based companies.
- Background in e-commerce, marketplace, retail, or private-label businesses.
- Familiarity with settlements and financial data from platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, or similar marketplaces.
- Prior experience supporting US tax and regulatory requirements in collaboration with US CPA firms.
