Accounts Automated, a leading Australian accounting and advisory firm based in Sydney, is seeking an experienced Accounts Team Lead for its Lahore division. Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Review: Conduct final technical validation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Installment Activity Statements (IAS), and Year-End Workpapers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Statutory Compliance: Guarantee all financial records adhere strictly to Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations and Australian Accounting Standards.
- Financial Reporting: Supervise the preparation of management reports, including detailed Profit & Loss analysis, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and Cash Flow forecasting.
- Workforce Management: Allocate tasks strategically using Xero Practice Manager (XPM) to maintain 100% deadline compliance across the team.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Lead and develop Executives, Associates, and Trainees by identifying performance gaps and delivering formal technical training sessions.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Work-in-Progress (WIP) Oversight: Monitor team productivity and recoverability to maintain profitable engagements.
- Client Engagement: Act as a senior technical liaison for Australian clients, providing expert advice and resolving complex accounting issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional Qualifications: ACCA Member or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 to 6 years in public practice accounting, including at least 2 years focused on Australian Taxation.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Xero (Advisor Certified) is essential. Experience with Dext, Hubdoc, and Xero Practice Manager is highly desirable.
- Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of GST legislation, Single Touch Payroll (STP Phase 2), Division 7A, and Trust distributions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent command of professional English, with the ability to confidently present financial information to Australian business owners.
