Team Lead - SMD

We currently have an opportunity for a Team Lead - SMD based in Jhelum, Pakistan, to join Pakistan Tobacco Company and play a key role in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage shift operations to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Ensure the production of high-quality products by achieving or surpassing Manufacturing Quality Index (MQI) and Final Quality Index (FQI) targets, while driving process improvements to minimize market complaints and safeguard product integrity.
- Oversee and support maintenance activities to maintain machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Deliver breakthrough results in process reliability and manage both planned and unplanned downtime, aligning with the Master Production Schedule.
- Mentor and develop Executive Operators (EOs), promoting multiskilling within the shift team.
- Maintain positive working relationships with Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) representatives to ensure smooth shop floor operations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Encourage shop floor employees to contribute innovative ideas, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience in Operations Management.
- Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage resources effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9001/14001 and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Ability to enforce discipline and establish high work standards within the team.
- Familiarity with the ANT System.
