Team Lead - SMD

Pakistan Tobacco Company currently has an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead - SMD based in Akora Khattak, Pakistan. Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and control shift operations efficiently to meet daily and monthly production targets.
- Ensure scheduled downtime is managed effectively and machines operate seamlessly to fulfill the Master Production Schedule and support the Integrated Work System (IWS) philosophy.
- Manufacture products that meet or exceed quality standards, focusing on Q2S and Q2C targets by adhering to established quality processes.
- Drive process improvements aimed at reducing or eliminating market complaints and maintaining product integrity.
- Deploy workforce according to agreed crewing patterns to achieve optimal output.
- Deliver exceptional results in process reliability, minimizing both planned and unplanned downtime while meeting production schedules.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of chronic stoppages on the production floor.
- Facilitate the Shift Transition Meeting in accordance with the Site Daily Discipline System (DDS) and Daily Management System (DMS).

Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience in managing operations through internships or employment (0.5 to 1 year) is advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of machine construction, technical drawings, and electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members on the shop floor.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, unionized, and digitally driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
