We are seeking two experienced professionals to join our team as Team Leads in Medical Coding. This is a newly created position aimed at strengthening our leadership in coding operations. The ideal candidates will have a solid background in medical coding with proven leadership capabilities, particularly in managing large teams and handling multiple specialties. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency in coding processes across various medical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of at least 20 medical coders, ensuring high performance and adherence to coding standards.
- Oversee coding activities with a focus on Evaluation and Management (E&M) coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage projects involving multiple specialties, coordinating efforts to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Provide guidance and support in procedural coding and denial management to optimize revenue cycle processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address coding challenges and improve operational workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and industry best practices to lead the team effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team of 20 or more coders.
- Strong expertise in E&M coding is essential.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven capability to handle multiple projects across different specialties simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills:
- Experience in OB-GYN and gastroenterology specialties is highly preferred.
- Exposure to procedural coding and denial management will be considered an advantage.
