The Team Leader - Fresh Food (Butchery) role at the Packages Store in Lahore, Pakistan, is pivotal in ensuring the quality, freshness, and variety of products meet customer expectations while achieving sales targets. This position requires overseeing daily operations within the butchery section, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and driving commercial success through effective team leadership and stock management.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor competitor activities including pricing, product range, and promotions to develop strategies that maintain a competitive edge within the store’s catchment area.
- Ensure adherence to commercial pricing policies, optimize departmental profitability, and maximize the efficient use of assets and resources.
- Manage product assortment by negotiating supplier promotions and maintaining a competitive product offering aligned with customer needs and business goals.
- Oversee stock control by monitoring stock value and availability, preventing out-of-stock situations, and coordinating orders and deliveries.
- Implement initiatives to reduce waste and stock shrinkage while maintaining appropriate stock levels and operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper product displays, adherence to planograms, visibility of new products, and accurate pricing throughout the department.
- Monitor merchandisers’ attendance and performance, enforce operational standards, and support the team in delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, security, and hygiene standards, safeguard company knowledge, and effectively address customer queries and concerns.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the retail sector.
- Previous experience in an operations supervisory role.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
