Team Leader

The Team Leader - Fresh Food (Butchery) position at the Packages Store in Lahore, Pakistan, plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality, range, and freshness of products to attract customers and achieve sales targets. This role also ensures that exceptional customer service is consistently delivered within the fresh food section.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor competitor activities including pricing, product range, and promotions, and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge within the store’s catchment area.
- Ensure adherence to commercial pricing policies, optimize departmental profitability, and maximize the effective use of assets and resources.
- Manage product assortment by negotiating supplier promotions and ensuring a competitive product offering that aligns with customer expectations and business objectives.
- Oversee stock control by monitoring stock value and availability, preventing out-of-stock situations, and coordinating orders and deliveries.
- Implement initiatives to reduce waste and stock shrinkage while maintaining appropriate stock levels and operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper product displays, implement planograms, maintain visibility of new products, and guarantee accurate pricing throughout the department.
- Supervise merchandisers’ attendance and performance, enforce operational standards, and support the team in delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, security, and hygiene standards, safeguard company intellectual property, and effectively address customer queries and concerns.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the retail sector.
- Previous experience in an operations supervisory role.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
