The Team Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and motivating a team to meet the objectives and service levels set by the account. This position involves coordinating daily activities to ensure that customer interactions are handled professionally and efficiently. The manager is responsible for maintaining high performance standards, supporting team development, and addressing any operational challenges to achieve consistent success.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clear direction and guidance to ensure the team consistently meets key performance metrics. Monitor, measure, and communicate progress toward metric goals for the assigned group. Maintain timely and accurate communication of client and campaign issues to the Manager of Site Operations. Conduct regular call monitoring to uphold quality standards and achieve target scores for the technical support agents. Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and prepare them for potential promotional opportunities. Identify and address performance, behavior, and attendance concerns using established performance management processes. Keep employee records up to date for all direct reports. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to support the team’s knowledge base. Ensure that training needs are identified and fulfilled for all subordinates. Adapt operational processes as necessary to meet service level agreements under the guidance of the Operations Manager. Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and effectively. Organize and lead regular team meetings to maintain communication and engagement with direct reports.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of current management practices and employee motivation techniques. Understanding of key performance indicators and the ability to influence team behavior accordingly. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven leadership abilities with experience in coaching and interpersonal relationship management. Analytical thinking and effective problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Capacity to manage agents’ performance and provide constructive feedback. Willingness to lead by example, including actively participating in calls when necessary. Adaptability to changing work environments and priorities. Experience
A minimum of one year of experience in a related field is required. At least one year of supervisory experience is essential to successfully manage and develop a team.
