About The Role
- SQA Engineer will be responsible for detecting bugs and errors.
- SQA will ensure whether a product complies with the requirements.
- Who knows where bugs can hide, even where no one expects them.
- Just throw the product under the bus until it is robust.
Responsibilities
- Set up product test environments
- Design and plan testing activities that cover all aspects of the software: functions, components, performance, security, regression and service
- Develop test cases, test scenarios and use cases
- Automate the tests
- Investigate and diagnose problems uncovered during testing
- Recreate problems as reported by customers or as discovered during testing
- Validate fixes for problems
- Provide feedback on usability, serviceability and documentation
- Report status as required
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- 3+ years of experience as a software quality assurance engineer
- At least 1-2 years of working experience on automation tools & technologies
- Experience in testing and automating REST APIs
- Strong knowledge of databases especially postgresql and Mongo
- Proven work experience in software development.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black-box testing.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
