TechNerds Pvt. Ltd. (a subsidiary of TechNerds Inc. USA) is looking for a suitable candidate to take up the role of Senior Software Quality Assurance Manager; a candidate will be responsible for developing a testing strategy, managing a testing team, supervising test automation, and ensuring quality delivery of projects. Senior Software Quality Assurance Manager must be adept at both traditional QA best practices (analyzing business requirements and creating test plans for their verification) and agile methodology (working closely with users and developers to create test cases as new functionality emerges).
In support of both approaches, this role will utilize both manual and automated testing techniques.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and business partners to understand and analyze business requirements for projects
- Analyzing business requirements documentation, when provided, to create test plans and test cases for the verification of functionality yet to be delivered
- Developing, modifying and executing test strategies and plans across both automated and manual scenarios
- Managing QA team to assist in test case development for new functionality and regression testing
- Reporting defects and issues; tracking resolution of open defects/issues; communicating results to the project team and senior management
- Certifying periodic development releases, identifying potential areas of risk, and working with developers and project management to mitigate them
- Defining and providing quality assurance metrics for the organization
- Continually validating testing tools and processes
- Experience with leading testing projects for complex, cross functional systems
- Developing detailed work schedules and resource plans
- Leading teams in end to end software testing in Agile environments
- Writing and executing both back-end and front-end automation scripts
- Designing and implementing continuous testing routines within a DevOps pipeline
- Deep dive into technical areas
- Working in a continually changing and dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution
Required Skills:

- Ability to manage time effectively when faced with multiple tasks/initiatives
- Working knowledge of JIRA (or similar tool) for release management and issue tracking
- Experience with relational database technology (e.g., Sybase, SQL Server) and SQL queries
- Solid Microsoft Office suite skills, including Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project, and OneNote
- Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Jira and other QA test tools
- Well immersed with Scrum / Agile methodologies as well as conventional project management
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to grow a testing team that focuses on automation
