Technical Associate - (Electrical Engineering)

In this role, you will support live substation tenders by analyzing customer specifications, compiling technical and commercial bid packages, and coordinating inputs from Engineering, Civil Works, and Project Management teams. Your contributions will enhance the quality and competitiveness of proposals submitted to customers and partners, directly supporting Siemens Energy’s mission to deliver reliable and sustainable power infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing comprehensive technical and commercial bid documents for substation projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and readiness for submission.
- Review tender specifications under senior tender managers’ guidance to identify key technical requirements, deviations, and areas needing clarification.
- Organize and monitor tender clarifications, deadlines, and submission schedules to ensure timely progression of bids without missing critical milestones.
- Maintain and update the central tender database, archiving proposal templates and historical bid data for future reference.
- Prepare technical data sheets, compliance matrices, and standardized documentation packages, verifying adherence to Siemens Energy’s quality and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Civil Works, and Project Management teams to gather technical inputs, support cost estimation and pricing data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Tender Management department.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, either completed or in the final year of study.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical engineering enabling the reading and interpretation of tender specifications and verification of technical compliance with customer requirements.
- Strong interest or understanding of tender and proposal management, including bid preparation support, document control, and structured archiving of bid records.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong analytical skills to analyze and report data effectively.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work confidently across cross-functional teams to gather inputs and meet tight deadlines.
