Technical Business Analyst (3-4 Years Exp.`)

Point of IT is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Lahore on an onsite basis. This role requires working hours from 8 PM to 5 AM PKT, aligning with Pacific Time hours, so candidates must be comfortable with this schedule. The position is customer-facing and involves understanding business requirements, analyzing application processes, and translating these needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, a solid grasp of software development processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, developers, QA, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements from customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and workshops to elicit detailed information.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for development teams.
- Analyze existing applications, workflows, integrations, and business processes to identify improvements.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, project managers, and customers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and impacts of proposed changes.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile activities.
- Clarify requirements and provide functional guidance to development and QA teams.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), testing, and validation of delivered functionality.
- Analyze data and perform basic SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting.
- Understand APIs, integrations, data flows, and web-based applications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date requirements and project documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or a similar role.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and functional analysis.
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proven ability to prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process documentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, integrations, and web applications.
- Experience collaborating with development and QA teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Prior experience working directly with customers.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, eCommerce, or other business applications is a plus.
