Technical Business Analyst (Night Shift - Onsite)

Point of IT is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our Islamabad-based team in an onsite capacity. This role requires working hours from 8 PM to 5 AM PKT, aligning with Pacific Time. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between customers and internal teams, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and translating them into clear functional and technical specifications for development. This position demands strong analytical and communication skills, a solid understanding of software development life cycles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, developers, QA, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements from customers and stakeholders through sessions and workshops.
- Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for development teams.
- Analyze existing applications, workflows, integrations, and business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, project managers, and customers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and impacts related to proposed changes.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile activities.
- Clarify requirements and provide functional guidance to development and QA teams.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), testing, and validation of delivered functionality.
- Perform data analysis and basic SQL queries to support validation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Understand APIs, integrations, data flows, and web-based applications to ensure seamless functionality.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for requirements and project progress.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in requirements gathering and functional analysis.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process documentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, integrations, and web applications.
- Experience collaborating with development and QA teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
- Prior experience working directly with customers.
- Exposure to CRM, ERP, eCommerce, or other business applications is advantageous.
