Technical Support Engineer IoT

BoxTech is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer with a strong background or keen interest in GPS tracking, IoT, vehicle telematics, and device integration. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting telematics devices while supporting seamless integration with tracking and fleet management platforms. This position involves close collaboration with customers during testing phases, proof of concept (POC), and deployment to ensure smooth device operation and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot GPS and telematics devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Support device integration efforts with various tracking and fleet management platforms.
- Assist customers throughout testing, POC, and deployment stages to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot communication protocols including TCP/UDP, MQTT, SIM/APN settings, server connectivity, and device communication.
- Work hands-on with technologies such as GPS/GNSS, GSM/LTE, BLE, CAN Bus, RS232, RS485, UART, sensors, and input/output interfaces.
- Coordinate with hardware manufacturers to address firmware updates, command sets, and technical challenges.
- Prepare comprehensive technical guides, reports, and troubleshooting documentation to support internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team by providing technical evaluations and supporting customer projects.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in technical support or engineering roles related to GPS, telematics, or IoT devices is preferred.
- A degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Embedded Systems Engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities combined with effective communication skills to interact with customers and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Familiarity with network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience working with APIs and programming languages like Python and C/C++.
- Knowledge of embedded systems development and debugging is considered an advantage.
