Technical Support Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Support Engineer with intermediate experience in networks and operating systems to join our team in Karachi. This full-time role involves rotational shifts covering morning, evening, and night hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal network performance and providing timely support to customers, working both independently and collaboratively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily network performance to maintain service availability and efficiency.
- Provide immediate responses and support from the help desk to address customer issues.
- Troubleshoot network faults and perform detailed fault analysis to resolve problems effectively.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to diagnose and fix network-related issues.
- Deploy and maintain network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools to support infrastructure health.
- Collaborate with team members and take ownership of tasks assigned by senior staff.
- Support customers by maximizing service availability and overall network performance.

Required Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge of networks and operating systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities efficiently.
- Basic understanding of GPON infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IP protocols such as ICMP, UDP, and TCP.
- Knowledge of IP filtering, firewalling, and Ethernet technologies including STP, RSTP, MSTP, and VLANs.
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, WiFi standards, and mid to advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a team environment.

Additional Requirements
- Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Karachi before starting work.
- Willingness to work on-site as this position requires in-person attendance.
