Technical Writer (Junior)

The Junior Technical Writer will play a crucial role in producing clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for Hoboetech’s AI, IoT, and software products. This full-time, on-site position based in Lahore involves collaborating closely with engineering, product management, and QA teams to draft and maintain various technical documents. The role requires translating complex technical information into accessible content tailored for different audiences, including end users, administrators, and technical stakeholders. The Junior Technical Writer will also be responsible for updating documentation to reflect new product features and changes, ensuring all materials remain current and relevant.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, release notes, and API documentation.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to gather accurate and comprehensive information.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible language suitable for diverse audiences.
- Structure and organize documentation to enhance usability and comprehension.
- Update existing documentation to incorporate new features, product updates, and changes.
- Assist in standardizing document templates, styles, and formats to ensure consistency across all technical materials.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal knowledge bases.
- Ensure high quality and consistency in all technical communication efforts.
- Manage multiple documentation tasks simultaneously while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in technical writing and communication, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Experience in planning, creating, and maintaining structured technical documentation for multiple products.
- Proven ability to develop manuals and user guides that support a range of users including end users, administrators, and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent command of written English, including grammar, style, and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of software development concepts, AI/ML, or IoT technologies.
- Familiarity with documentation tools such as Markdown, HTML, Confluence, Git-based workflows, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communication, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
