Senior Solution Architect – Managed Wi-Fi Platform

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with 4 to 6 years of experience who combines cloud and software architecture expertise with deep networking and Wi-Fi knowledge. The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of a carrier-grade, cloud-native Managed Wi-Fi platform. This role involves technology selection, proof of concept (PoC), development, integration, performance testing, and production deployment across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging open-source and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and lead the complete architecture for a secure, scalable, and highly available Managed Wi-Fi platform.
- Design core components such as AAA/RADIUS, FreeRADIUS, RadSec, Change of Authorization (CoA), captive portals, authentication mechanisms, policy enforcement, session management, and multi-tenant capabilities.
- Integrate third-party Wi-Fi access points/controllers, Business Support Systems (BSS), voucher platforms, and external systems through secure REST APIs.
- Lead technology evaluation, PoCs, technical development, system integration, performance and load testing, and oversee production deployment.
- Ensure the platform meets stringent requirements for security, scalability, high availability, resilience, observability, and performance within Azure and GCP environments.
- Manage cloud-native deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Implement secure API integrations following OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and other relevant security protocols.
- Establish monitoring frameworks, including metrics collection, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and deployment automation, aligning technical delivery with business and operational goals.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, infrastructure engineers, and third-party vendors, including WLAN providers like Cisco, HPE Aruba, and Fortinet.

Required Qualifications

- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in solution architecture, software/cloud engineering, networking, Wi-Fi, or telecom platforms.
- Demonstrated success in delivering platforms from initial architecture and technology selection through PoC, development, integration, testing, and production deployment.
- Strong expertise in Managed Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi-as-a-Service, hotspot, ISP/AAA, Network Access Control (NAC), or telecom platforms is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of FreeRADIUS, RADIUS, RadSec, CoA, AAA frameworks, captive portals, guest and enterprise Wi-Fi, and managed Wi-Fi architectures.
- Experience integrating WLAN solutions from Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, or similar vendors, along with BSS, voucher platforms, and external systems.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, Linux operating systems, PostgreSQL, Redis, and at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS, and/or GCP, along with Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, API security best practices, and principles of high availability, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana, as well as CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks.
- Strong technical leadership skills, architectural decision-making capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, and effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
