We are seeking a Telemarketing Assistant to join our remote sales team. In this role, you will initiate polite phone conversations, identify customer needs, and clearly explain our offers to potential leads. You will work from assigned lead lists and return call requests, guiding each interaction to present suitable options, answer questions, and close sales when appropriate. Your goal is to help prospects make informed decisions without applying pressure or guaranteeing results. You will receive ongoing support and coaching from a sales team lead, who will review your progress and help refine your approach. This position offers a monthly base salary with additional bonus opportunities and is fully remote, allowing you to work from home using shared lead information and communication tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access and organize assigned call lists within a CRM platform such as HubSpot, planning your calling sequence efficiently.
- Conduct outbound calls using a business phone system like Dialpad, introducing yourself clearly and stating the purpose of the call.
- Ask concise questions to understand each lead’s needs and interests, then select the appropriate approved offer details to share.
- Present offers using standardized notes, respond calmly to questions and objections, and avoid applying pressure or making promises about outcomes.
- Close sales or secure orders by phone when leads are ready, confirming their choices and explaining subsequent steps.
- Follow up with interested leads until a decision is made, respecting refusals and noting when a lead is open to future contact.
- Escalate complex questions to the sales team with clear summaries, keeping leads informed about next steps.
- Schedule further discussions using tools like Calendly, confirming all agreed details accurately.
- Document each call’s outcome, comments, and next actions; identify wrong numbers, duplicates, or requests to stop calls.
- Share daily call activity and interested lead updates with the team; practice call scripts and incorporate coaching feedback.
- Maintain quality standards through accurate note-taking, polite communication, appropriate transfers, and consistent daily calling efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient spoken and written English, as calls are primarily with leads in the United States.
- Access to a computer, mobile phone, stable internet connection, and reliable electricity.
- No prior experience required, though background in phone sales, telemarketing, or customer-facing roles is preferred. Willingness to learn through guided practice is essential.
- Ability to follow an approved call outline while adapting questions based on each lead’s responses.
- Comfortable using shared lead management systems, phone tools, and scheduling platforms to support conversations.
- Strong communication skills to explain offer details clearly, verify understanding, and address concerns without pressuring leads.
- Attention to detail when recording call notes, selecting call outcomes, and confirming next steps.
- Patience when handling declines, repeated questions, or leads needing more time to decide.
- A quiet workspace suitable for calls and readiness to seek assistance from the team lead when needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home using collaborative tools.
- Structured onboarding and training on CRM software (HubSpot), business phone systems (Dialpad), and scheduling tools (Calendly) are provided.
- Regular check-ins with a team lead to review calls, discuss challenges, and receive constructive feedback.
- Opportunities for professional growth within the team as your skills and knowledge develop.
- Competitive monthly salary with bonus potential.
This role offers a supportive environment for individuals eager to develop telemarketing skills and contribute to a dynamic sales team.
