The role focuses on achieving annual sales volume targets within an assigned territory by effectively managing dealers and distributors. The position involves expanding market coverage, driving sales growth, and ensuring timely recovery of customer payments, all aligned with the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and annual sales volume targets for the designated territory.
- Manage and nurture relationships with dealers and distributors to boost sales and broaden market presence.
- Monitor customer credit limits, oversee recoveries, and work to minimize overdue payments and cheque bouncing.
- Develop and implement recovery strategies to ensure prompt collection of outstanding dues.
- Supervise and guide Sales Promoters to guarantee effective market coverage and attainment of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate approved discounts, promotional schemes, and trade offers clearly to dealers and customers.
- Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager to resolve market and customer-related issues efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, corporate governance standards, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, preferably for external candidates.
- 2 to 3 years of sales experience, ideally within the paints, FMCG, or related industries.
- Proven experience in dealer and distributor management, territory sales, and customer payment recovery.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets while managing customer credit and reducing overdue payments.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
