JOB SUMMARY (Overall purpose of the job):

Applies knowledge of engineering, biology, and biomechanical principles to procure and evaluate biological and health systems such as prostheses, instrumentation, medical information systems, and health management and care delivery systems to ensure high quality healthcare service delivery in hospital.

  • Advises and assists in the application of instrumentation in clinical environments
  • Ensures that all equipment properly functioning in the units and keep records of all equipment
  • Motivates and trains staff to handle equipment easily
  • Identify fault of equipment and timely repaired
  • Prepare work plane for field visit, check the equipment for timely calibration and maintenance.

Routine Tasks:

  • Coordinate the relevant staff in planning and purchasing the equipment with correct specification
  • Coordinate with both modules for the execution of installation of equipment and maintenance of equipment in the health units
  • Ensure that all equipment properly functioning in the units and keep records of all equipment
  • Motivate and train staff to handle equipment easily
  • Identify fault of equipment and timely repaired
  • Maintain team work spirit and quality of work
  • Prepare work plane for field visit, check the equipment for timely repair
  • Maintain good liaison with health units in Chitral to ensure that all equipment functionalize properly.
  • Prepare narrative reports on monthly basis and their submission to concern department in AKHS, P.

Contribute to financial control and cost reduction during the maintenance
