Vantage Estimating is seeking an experienced freelance estimator proficient in using The EDGE Estimator software. This role involves preparing accurate takeoffs and estimates primarily for commercial drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceiling projects within the U.S. construction market. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to review drawings thoroughly, identify scope questions, and communicate clearly while maintaining organized estimating documentation. This is a remote, project-based independent contractor position open to applicants worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize The EDGE Estimator software to prepare detailed takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to identify scope and clarify any uncertainties.
- Estimate commercial drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceiling projects accurately.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation of estimating work.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and clients regarding scope questions and estimate details.
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience using The EDGE Estimator software.
- Demonstrated experience estimating commercial drywall, metal framing, or acoustical ceilings on U.S. construction projects.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and prepare precise takeoffs and estimates.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.
- Access to properly licensed and authorized software.
- Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive project information responsibly.
