Software Engineer

The Lmar Systems is seeking a motivated and recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field to join the consulting and engineering teams as a Software Engineer. This role involves working closely with experienced professionals to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in core programming concepts and problem-solving and demonstrates eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment.

In this position, the Software Engineer contributes to the entire Software Development Life Cycle, including coding, testing, and deployment.

The role demands familiarity with programming languages like Java and C#, and experience with version control systems such as Git.

The candidate should be comfortable with basic computing tasks, have exposure to databases with the ability to write simple SQL queries, and possess foundational knowledge of cloud computing and web technologies.

Effective communication skills are essential to work with team members and stakeholders as the candidate gains practical experience and grows technically within the company.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications based on project specifications.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using programming languages including Java, C#, and Groovy.
Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions on schedule.
Utilize version control tools, primarily Git, to manage code repositories and handle branching and merging effectively.
Develop unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure software quality and reliability.
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging applications to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Apply foundational knowledge of databases to perform tasks such as writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Engage with cloud computing fundamentals to support deployment and scaling of applications when applicable.
Maintain awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle processes while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and seeking guidance when necessary.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to support personal growth and the evolution of software projects.
