Accounts Officer

The TAQ Organization is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Officer to handle daily accounting operations with precision and accuracy. This role involves managing accounting entries, maintaining sales tax documentation, performing supplier reconciliations, and overseeing withholding tax records. The ideal candidate must be proficient with accounting software and skilled in managing financial records to ensure compliance and accurate reporting. This position requires at least 2 years of relevant experience and does not involve managing a team. The Accounts Officer plays a critical role in supporting the organization's financial integrity by maintaining up-to-date and accurate account information. They work closely with other departments to ensure timely invoice processing and reconcile all financial discrepancies. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively process and document tax-related activities in accordance with regulations.
Responsibilities

Manage daily general ledger entries and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Process and verify invoices, ensuring payments are correctly accounted for and processed on time.
Maintain sales tax and withholding tax documentation, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Perform supplier account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate vendor balances.
Use accounting software effectively to keep financial records current and organized.
Execute regular reconciliation processes to verify accuracy between different financial statements and records.
Perform data entry tasks related to accounting information with high accuracy.
Prepare financial reports and summaries as requested for internal review and auditing purposes.
Collaborate with auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations during audits.
Maintain confidentiality of financial data and uphold strict data privacy standards.
Continuously update knowledge of relevant tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
