Job brief
We are an interior designing firm looking for an experienced architect/interior designer to perform all phases of architectural/interior designing work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction. He/she will be involved in new building designs, extensions and alterations from the earliest stages right through to completion. The goal is to match client’s needs and to produce sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
Responsibilities
You’ll need to:
• Discuss the ideas, objectives, requirements and budget of projects
• Assess the needs of the building and its users and advise the client on the practicality of their project;
• Prepare and design concepts and proposals for our clients;
• Oversee a team of designers working on AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max and site supervisors
• Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications;
• Specify the nature and quality of materials required;
• Project management and help to coordinate the work of contractors;
• Control a project from start to finish;
• Carry out regular site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running on time and to budget;
• Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction;
Requirements
• Proven working experience as an architect (minimum 2 years)
• Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3d Studio VIZ or similar)
• Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
• Visual awareness and an eye for detail
• Communication and project management skills
• BS degree in Architecture from NCA, UET, Punjab University or a recognized institution
