This role involves managing the accounting and operational functions related to investment funds, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Value (NAV). The candidate will be responsible for maintaining general ledger and fund accounting records, reconciling cash, securities, and bank accounts, and resolving trade and settlement discrepancies. The position requires active management of trade affirmation and confirmation processes, as well as handling cash settlements for over-the-counter (OTC) positions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, investment products, and capital markets, combined with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Calculate daily, weekly, or monthly NAV for various investment funds to ensure accurate valuation.
- Maintain and update general ledger and fund accounting records in compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile cash, securities, and bank accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile trades, positions, cash, and swap mark-to-market (MTM) values against counterparties or fund administrators.
- Identify and resolve trade and settlement issues promptly to minimize operational risks.
- Manage the trade affirmation and confirmation process efficiently to ensure timely settlements.
- Oversee cash settlements related to OTC positions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.

Required Qualifications

- A postgraduate or professional degree such as CA, CFA, CPA, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex accounting and operational challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage additional responsibilities as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Knowledge of investment products and capital markets to support accurate fund valuation and reconciliation.
- Experience in NAV calculation and reconciliation processes within an investment fund environment.
