Traffic Engineer

Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore is seeking a qualified Traffic Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing traffic systems to ensure smooth and safe transportation within DHA Lahore’s jurisdiction. This role requires a professional with strong technical expertise and practical experience in traffic engineering, capable of contributing to the development and maintenance of efficient traffic flow and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to develop effective traffic management plans.
- Design and implement traffic control devices, signage, and road markings in accordance with relevant standards.
- Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate traffic solutions into broader infrastructure projects.
- Monitor and evaluate traffic patterns to identify issues and recommend improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and documentation related to traffic engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards in all traffic engineering activities.
- Participate in public consultations and address community concerns related to traffic management.
- Support the maintenance and upgrading of existing traffic systems to enhance safety and efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a specialization in Traffic Engineering or Transportation Planning.
- Proven experience in traffic engineering, preferably within a municipal or urban development context.
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, traffic control devices, and transportation planning methodologies.
- Proficiency in traffic simulation and design software tools.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, codes, and standards related to traffic management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
