Trainee Design Engineer

Jaffer Agro Services Pvt Ltd is seeking a Trainee Design Engineer to join their team. The selected candidate will gain practical experience in the design, proposal preparation, installation supervision, and technical execution of High-Efficiency Irrigation Systems (HEIS). This role offers hands-on exposure to irrigation project design, field operations, technical documentation, and customer coordination. Working closely with experienced professionals, the trainee will develop essential engineering skills in a dynamic agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in designing HEIS projects based on site-specific requirements and approved technical standards.
- Support the preparation, review, and verification of technical proposals and design documents related to irrigation systems.
- Help supervise ongoing installations, monitor project progress, and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct field visits to sites under installation, commissioned projects, and existing systems to assess quality and adherence to approved designs.
- Participate in site demarcation, installation of head units, and layout of pipe networks as per design specifications.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop cost-effective and technically sound irrigation system designs.
- Coordinate with consultants, government authorities, customers, and field teams to provide technical support and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Assist in identifying innovative irrigation solutions that enhance system efficiency without compromising quality.
- Support training sessions for customers and farmers on the operation and maintenance of HEIS.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, drawings, project records, and reports.
- Learn and apply industry best practices related to irrigation design, fluid mechanics, and HEIS installation techniques.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD for drafting and design purposes.
- Understanding of agricultural irrigation systems and fluid engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work at field locations.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and collaborate effectively with technical and field teams.

- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
