Trainee Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled software developer with strong expertise in C# and VB.NET, complemented by a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with databases, particularly SQL Server, and be proficient in writing complex queries, including joins, stored procedures, functions, and views. Familiarity with basic performance tuning is also essential. This role involves working with modern web frameworks and technologies such as ASP.NET (Web API/MVC), jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 to build and maintain responsive and efficient web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain software applications using C# and VB.NET, adhering to best practices in Object-Oriented Programming.
- Write and optimize SQL Server queries, including stored procedures, functions, and views, ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Design and implement web applications using ASP.NET frameworks, integrating front-end technologies like jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Manage source code and collaborate with team members using version control systems such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Git, and GitHub.
- Participate in setting up and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automating builds and deployments to improve development workflows.
- Utilize AI-powered coding assistants and models, including Claude, Codex, and GitHub Copilot, to enhance coding productivity and support prompt engineering techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Proficiency in programming languages C# and VB.NET, with a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Solid experience in SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET Web API and MVC frameworks.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with version control systems like Team Foundation Server (TFS), Git, and GitHub.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, including automated builds and deployments.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools and prompt engineering to improve development efficiency.
- Comfortable working with development environments such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
