Transmission Engineer

The Transmission Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of FTTH and GPON networks. This role involves handling fiber optic cable laying, splicing, and testing, as well as installing ONTs, configuring routers, and delivering triple play services including internet, cable TV, and phone. The engineer will also supervise field teams to ensure key performance indicators are consistently met. Additionally, the role requires reviewing and understanding manufacturer documentation for various transmission equipment, conducting surveys of high-rise buildings and other sites, and monitoring network deployment progress. A strong focus will be placed on customer requirements during surveys and preparing cost estimates for new installations. Familiarity with Wi-Fi coverage tools is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage network deployment and maintenance activities for FTTH and GPON networks, including fiber optic cable laying, splicing, and testing.
- Install Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) and configure routers to enable triple play services (internet, cable TV, and phone).
- Supervise and coordinate field teams to ensure all KPIs and project deadlines are met.
- Interpret and apply manufacturer documentation and manuals related to transmission equipment.
- Conduct detailed site surveys, particularly for high-rise buildings, to assess network deployment feasibility.
- Monitor the installation process of FTTH networks, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates for new installations.
- Utilize Wi-Fi coverage tools to enhance network planning and deployment (preferred).

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechatronics, or Computer Systems Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize network performance.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
