The Aga Khan University Hospital’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, a premier academic and diagnostic center in Pakistan, is seeking a Transporter to join its Outreach Support Services team. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and secure transportation of laboratory specimens and related materials between multiple collection points and the central laboratory. The department is recognized for its high-quality diagnostic services and accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Operating through a network of specimen collection units and stat laboratories, the Transporter will play a key role in maintaining sample integrity and supporting the efficient functioning of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect laboratory specimens daily from medical receptionists and phlebotomists at various collection points and transport them to the main laboratory as per the established schedule.
- Distribute collected samples within specified time frames to the appropriate laboratory departments, strictly following the provided guidelines.
- Conduct a thorough visual inspection of the assigned vehicle before starting daily tasks to ensure it is in good working condition, thereby preventing delays caused by vehicle breakdowns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Coordinator, or Associate to support departmental operations.
- When required, collect and safely transport deposit credit transaction slips, corporate letters, equipment, urgent supplies, and other materials between collection points and the main laboratory, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Matriculation or Intermediate education is preferred.
- Valid Light Transport Vehicle (LTV) driving license.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience driving light vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ability to read and write simple English.
- Competence in handling cash, credit transaction slips, and corporate letters responsibly.
- Proven track record of safe and efficient driving of light transport vehicles.
- Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted to verify qualifications and experience.
