Primary Responsibilities
1) Ensure compliance with internal controls and business policies
a) Develop/Maintain controls and metrics including accounting and financial validations/checks
b) Work with department/functional heads to consistently enhance/improve the overall controls environment
c) Work with HR to develop/update policy manuals and other documentation to ensure compliance by all staff
2) Perform regular internal audits:
a) Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to assess the compliance of departments and individual employees, including non-financial areas like Health & Safety and IT
b) Audit financial transactions, reports and KPIs for accuracy and policy compliance
c) Assess business risk and develop mitigation tactics
d) Communicate systematic errors and non-compliance indicators
e) Explain findings and provide recommendations to ensure better overall compliance by the business
3) Address specific training and development needs:
a) Plan and execute actions to address specific training and development needs to fill compliance gaps
4) Representation:
a) Act as the go-between with Tufail Group and external auditors
b) Overall ensure the company is in compliance with relevant external rules and regulations, including communicating and incorporating the impacts of changing regulations, compliance practices and any other changes that may impact the merit of current internal control policies
Secondary Responsibilities
1. Help define/record business processes
2. Help standardise and automate ways of workings
3. Help develop an internal knowledge management framework
4. Help identify/influence key business levers to maximise efficiency/productivity
