uPage is looking for experienced and talented UI/UX designers to join our Islamabad/Rawalpindi based team for a full-time in-house position. We’re building software that allows people in developing countries like Pakistan to be able to build websites for themselves easily and affordably. We’ve designed and deployed an early version of our product; your job would be to help refine the user experience of our product and assist in modifying product interface designs. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and/or modifying our existing product design wireframes/mockups as well as designing new web templates for our DIY editing tool.
Our ideal candidate has an exceptional design aesthetic and reliable organizational skills. We’ll be working from 10:00 AM PST to 6:00 PM PST -- open to flexible arrangements depending on the candidate.Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks. You will be designing and/or modifying each aspect of our website creation platform with the intention to simplify and enhance the user experience.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback. You will be responsible for researching how to make our design intuitive and simple for a Pakistani audience.
- Collaborate with the product manager, engineering team, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes.
- Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of UI/UX design experience. Successful candidates must possess a portfolio that demonstrates experience designing usable interfaces and interactions.
- Proficiency in visual design software (Sketch, Adobe XD or Illustrator) and wireframing/prototyping tools (Invision or Axure) is required.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Familiarity with frontend web design and HTML, CSS, JS
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
