Upwork Bidder / Proposal Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and select relevant software development, IT, and tech consultancy projects on Upwork that align with DeWelope’s expertise.
- Analyze project descriptions, client needs, budgets, and scopes to assess suitability before submitting bids.
- Craft personalized, well-structured proposals that directly address the client’s problems and highlight DeWelope’s relevant experience.
- Collaborate with the technical team to gather input on project scope when necessary to ensure proposal accuracy.
- Manage follow-up communications with interested clients and hand over qualified leads to the CEO.
- Monitor proposal activity, response rates, and conversion metrics, providing weekly reports and refining bidding strategies accordingly.
- Aim to submit 5–10 high-quality, targeted proposals per week, prioritizing quality over quantity.

Required Qualifications
- At least one year of hands-on experience bidding on Upwork, specifically for software development or IT services projects.
- Proven ability to write compelling proposals that generate client responses; examples will be requested.
- Strong understanding of the Upwork platform, including how the algorithm functions, interpreting client histories, and distinguishing genuine postings from low-quality ones.
- Ability to comprehend technical project requirements sufficiently to propose credible solutions without needing to be a developer.
- Excellent written English skills; proposals must be professional, clear, and free from generic template language.
- Self-motivated and capable of meeting weekly targets with minimal supervision.
- Availability during US business hours (EST or PST) to manage client follow-ups and optimize proposal timing.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience bidding on fintech, SaaS, AI, or enterprise software projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as agile, sprints, and milestones.
- Experience in converting Upwork clients into longer-term retainer relationships.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.

This role offers fixed monthly compensation plus a performance bonus based on contracts secured through your proposals. DeWelope provides the Upwork account and Connects budget. The position is fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates available during US time zones. Candidates based in Pakistan who can work US hours are also encouraged to apply.
