The Chief Privacy and Compliance Officer (CPCO) will lead the compliance program, ensuring the organization adheres to healthcare regulations, billing standards, and ethical practices. This role is critical in safeguarding the organization from legal risks, promoting regulatory awareness, and supporting operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the overall compliance program, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, payer, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with HIPAA, CMS, Medicaid, Medicare, commercial payer, and accreditation standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct internal compliance audits and monitor documentation, billing, coding, credentialing, and operational processes.
- Investigate compliance concerns and coordinate corrective action plans as necessary.
- Ensure timely completion of mandatory compliance training for all staff members.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, billing, credentialing, HR, and operations teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Maintain documentation for audits, regulatory reviews, and payer requests.
- Report compliance findings, trends, and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Lead ongoing quality improvement and regulatory readiness initiatives across the organization.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience managing compliance programs within healthcare settings, particularly in outpatient psychiatric or behavioral health practices in the USA.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, CMS, Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payer requirements.
- Ability to develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures effectively.
- Experience conducting audits and investigations related to billing, coding, credentialing, and operational compliance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining compliance documentation.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
