This role focuses on expanding the brand’s presence in independent U.S. retail stores by establishing and nurturing long-term wholesale relationships. You will manage the entire sales process—from identifying suitable stores and contacting owners or buyers, to presenting the brand, sending samples, following up, opening accounts, closing initial orders, and maintaining ongoing communication for reorders. This position requires a hands-on, outbound sales approach with a high volume of daily calls, making it ideal for someone who enjoys engaging directly with store owners and buyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify independent retailers in outdoor, hunting, fishing, archery, camping, and sporting goods sectors across the U.S.
- Reach out to store owners and buyers through phone, email, and other communication channels
- Make approximately 50 outbound calls daily to build and maintain a strong retail sales pipeline
- Present the brand, product range, and wholesale program effectively to potential partners
- Provide product samples to qualified retailers and share pricing and wholesale materials
- Consistently follow up to convert interested stores into active dealers
- Open new dealer accounts and close initial wholesale orders independently
- Manage dealer accounts long-term, fostering repeat business and growth
- Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, and follow-ups in the CRM system
- Collect and share retailer feedback on products, pricing, margins, and the dealer program
- Identify new sales opportunities, buying groups, and industry contacts
- Represent the brand at trade shows and industry events as needed
Required Qualifications
- Excellent spoken English with confidence in communicating with U.S. store owners and buyers
- Availability to work during standard U.S. business hours
- Experience in B2B, wholesale, or retail sales environments
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and independently managing a sales pipeline
- Strong relationship-building skills with a natural, conversational communication style rather than scripted selling
- Demonstrated motivation and follow-up discipline to open accounts and close deals
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining clear communication with an international team
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience selling to independent U.S. retailers in outdoor, hunting, fishing, camping, knives, or sporting goods markets
- Background as an inside sales representative, manufacturer’s rep, distributor rep, rep group or agency member, outdoor brand salesperson, retail buyer, or store salesperson/manager
- An existing network of dealers, buyers, distributors, or buying groups is highly advantageous
- Genuine knowledge of knives and outdoor equipment to engage naturally in product discussions
Compensation includes a monthly retainer ranging from $1,000 to $1,200 plus uncapped commission on every new dealer account opened and on repeat orders from managed accounts. Candidates with strong industry experience or an established retail network may negotiate a tailored compensation structure. Independent sales representatives and freelancers are encouraged to apply.
Applicants are invited to apply by completing the screening questions without the need for a lengthy cover letter. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit a brief video introduction.
