The Variety Development Lead role is a full-time, on-site position based in Faisalabad. This key role involves leading the evaluation, selection, and introduction of new seed varieties. The successful candidate will coordinate field trials, monitor variety performance across different regions and climates, and collaborate closely with agronomists, suppliers, and marketing teams. The role requires preparing detailed technical reports and variety profiles to support product development and market introduction. Additionally, the Variety Development Lead will oversee data collection and analysis from trial sites, facilitate training sessions for internal teams and farmer groups on new varieties, and contribute to product positioning and technical support for sales and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and selection process for new seed varieties, ensuring alignment with agronomic standards and farmer requirements.
- Coordinate and manage field trials across various locations, monitoring performance under different climatic and soil conditions.
- Collaborate with agronomists, suppliers, and marketing teams to support the introduction and promotion of new seed varieties.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, variety profiles, and documentation to support research findings and product positioning.
- Oversee data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation from trial sites to inform decision-making.
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams and farmer groups to enhance understanding and adoption of new varieties.
- Provide technical support to sales and marketing teams, contributing to effective product communication and customer engagement.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks efficiently, and lead trial activities both on-site and in the field.

Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of agronomy and plant breeding, including expertise in variety evaluation, field trial design, and performance analysis.
- Experience with seed testing protocols, quality control measures, and adaptation studies across diverse climatic and soil conditions.
- Proficiency in applied research methods, including data collection, statistical interpretation, and preparation of technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with farmers, technical teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and lead field trial activities independently.
- Proficiency in basic digital tools such as spreadsheets and trial management software for recording and analyzing field data.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, or a related discipline.
- Willingness to travel to field locations and work in outdoor environments as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Prior experience working with seed companies or agricultural input firms in Pakistan or similar markets is considered an advantage.
