Verification Of Benefit (VOB) Associate - Medical Billing

Meds Nexus Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated VOB Associate - Medical Billing to join their team on-site in Rawalpindi. This role involves verifying patient insurance coverage and supporting front-end revenue cycle operations for U.S. healthcare partners. The position requires working night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM (Monday to Friday), with weekends off. Key Responsibilities
- Direct Insurance Verification: Communicate with U.S. insurance carriers via phone and web portals to confirm patient eligibility, including active status, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and co-insurance rates.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and manage daily patient verification pipelines to ensure efficient front-desk processing for U.S. medical providers.
- Data Logging: Accurately document call summaries, verification reference numbers, and billing instructions in practice management systems.
- COB Verification: Verify Coordination of Benefits (COB) rules and establish primary versus secondary insurance to avoid claim rejections.
- Reporting: Prepare daily operational verification reports and patient status summaries using Microsoft Excel.
- Security & Compliance: Adhere strictly to data privacy policies, HIPAA regulations, and internal ethical standards at all times.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (BS, BA, or equivalent).
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in U.S. medical billing eligibility and insurance verification processes.
- Skills: Clear spoken English with a neutral accent, fast typing speed, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
