Business Analysis Core Competence:

  • Working with Product and Technology to define, document and manage the technical requirements & solution for delivery through the full SDLC.
  • Manage requirements analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous and verifiable.
  • Elicit requirements using document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, Scenarios, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or requirements workshops.
  • Manage the process of Collection and analyzing of the projects business requirements and transfer the same knowledge to the development team.
  • Manage requirements traceability, information and track requirement status throughout the project.
  • Facilitate requirements prioritization based on business value.
  • Review and/or prepare system documentation and specification in accordance with methodology.
  • Documentation: Guiding team on requirements documents, functional specs with wire frame diagrams and process charts.
  • Finalizing and improving the requirement documentation within the organization.

Requirements gathering:

  • Organizing meetings with stakeholders for capturing requirements and turning them into an SRS document. Formulating different techniques for requirement gathering based on client need and complexity of the project
  • Discussion with team on requirements captured and identifying loopholes and ambiguity in the requirements.

Requirements management: Reviewing the requirements document from functional and completeness point of view. Managing the requirements from change management perspective.

Process Management

  • Heads the creation of process models (primarily conceptual/logical level models, using business process analysis [BPA] tools and work with others to provide the supporting process ecosystem and implementations (including screen interactions, dashboards, rule management and optimization algorithms).
  • Manage changes to requirements, through effective use of change control process and tools. Balance technology and business issues as well as communicate appropriately both with technology and business experts.
  • Perform data analysis using different tools as necessary.
  • Document and train BA teams on new processes & procedures.
  • Manage and formulate, define and implement improvements to business processes and operations.
  • Manage and document test results and develop remediation plans with IT to address unmet business requirements.
  • Suggest area for improvement in internal process along with possible solutions.
  • Guiding the team on putting boundary from business and product standpoint.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Communicate (verbal and written) with business units that relay on information to define requirements or organizational process.
  • Effectively communicate relevant information to company management
  • Ability to manage internal and external teams.
  • Supervise day-to-day management issues, including resource management, work allocation etc.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree – Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Telecommunication

Required Skill and Experience:

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in IT.
  • Atleast 10 + years of experience in Business Analysis with 5 years of experience in managing a large team of Business Analysts.
  • Should have expertise in banking domain including Corporate and Retail Banking having worked in bank or/and IT Company with Banking Products
  • Should be able to understand the RFP and Bid Management process with ability to take the handover form pre-sales team of the project scope/details and to tie the Scope of Work (SOW) to business analysis/requirement gathering sessions/methodology.
  • Should have the capability to provide feedback to the product team for enhancing the product with new features and help the product team with functional aspects of the new product features/enhancements requested
  • Should be aware of complete SDLC lifecycle from a product implementation point of view. Should be working with the project manager and delivery head closely.
  • Should be managing and guiding a team of minimum 10-15 Business Analysts
  • Willing to travel frequently on short assignments
