VERTEX IT Service is looking for a talented and experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join our Web Application Development team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic for the central database, testing performance, troubleshooting, and integrating front-end elements into the application. To ensure success as a ruby on rails developer, you should have extensive experience working with ruby and back-end integration techniques.
Our ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience of CRM Development, with Ruby on Rails.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new web applications.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications.
- Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code.
- Integrating data storage solutions.
- Creating back-end components.
- Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.
- Architect and install new infrastructure
- Design and build reusable and efficient ruby code
- Plan and implement new features
- Interact with stakeholders to express and present platform proficiency according to their practices
- Maintain and manager APIs
- Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
- Test the ruby code for bugs and resolve them accordingly
- Stay updated about latest developments in Ruby on Rails programming
- Gather and analyze requirements, prepare for technical documentation
Skills/Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- 5+ Years demonstrated Software Development Experience and Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- 3+ years of work Experience working with ruby on rails as well as other libraries like Resque and RSpec.
- ROR certifications will be an added benefit
- A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code
- Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
- Understanding of database patterns and architecture
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Knowledge of server-side templating languages including Slim and Liquid.
- Familiarity with testing tools.
- Experience with Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development
- Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN etc
- Understanding of database patterns and architecture
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Understands the principles of Cloud Native architecture
- Experience with AngularJS or BackboneJS.
- Good project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
