Veterinary Medical Supervisor

RPK Critter Care & Animal Hospital in Karachi is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Medical Supervisor to lead and oversee daily clinical operations. The ideal candidate will be a skilled veterinarian with strong hands-on clinical expertise and the ability to manage and support a busy veterinary team. This role involves maintaining high medical standards, ensuring quality patient care, and guiding both junior and senior veterinary staff in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily clinical activities and manage veterinary staff effectively.
- Support and mentor junior and senior veterinarians in patient diagnosis, treatment, and management.
- Review and approve diagnosis, treatment plans, prescriptions, and clinical documentation.
- Assist with surgical procedures, emergency cases, and critical care management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital medical protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and professional veterinary standards.
- Monitor patient care, including hospitalization, treatment follow-ups, and discharge processes.
- Maintain strict infection control, hygiene, and patient safety standards.
- Coordinate doctor schedules, shift handovers, and clinical workload distribution.
- Identify training needs and support professional development within the veterinary team.
- Manage clinical escalations and provide guidance on complex or challenging cases.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of medical records and case documentation.
- Collaborate with hospital management on medical operations and staffing requirements.
- Drive improvements in clinical procedures and patient care systems.
- Promote ethical, compassionate, and professional veterinary care at all times.

Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration/license with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC).
- Proven experience in small-animal veterinary practice, including medicine, surgery, diagnostics, and emergency care.
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospital environment.
- Commitment to animal welfare, patient safety, and professional ethics.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team-lead role within a veterinary setting is highly desirable.
- Competitive salary package ranging from Rs140,000 to Rs180,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
