Lucky Fours is a rapidly growing premium watch ecommerce brand that integrates AI and automation deeply into its operations. Unlike typical companies that add AI as an afterthought, Lucky Fours is reconstructing its entire operating framework around AI, with multiple systems actively making decisions and performing tasks daily. As part of an aggressive expansion, the company is seeking a talented video editor to take ownership of a significant portion of its creative output, focusing on high-end AI-driven direct-to-consumer watch advertisements for paid social platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with a creative strategist to receive briefs outlining the video’s angle, script, voice, music, and visual direction, while independently designing the final video.
- Produce 1 to 2 high-quality videos per week, prioritizing thoughtful design over volume.
- Plan the video structure before editing, determining how it opens, develops, and concludes.
- Select specific visuals from a large clip library, making deliberate and justifiable choices for each shot aligned with the brief.
- Design comprehensive soundscapes, including music, sound effects, textures, risers, impacts, and ambience, ensuring sound enhances rather than distracts.
- Analyze music tracks to identify beats, tension points, momentum shifts, and align key script lines with the audio for maximum impact.
- Refine AI-generated voiceovers by applying EQ, compression, de-essing, saturation, spatial effects, and manually adjusting timing to create a natural, recorded sound.
- Create clean, carefully designed captions with typography tailored to each video, avoiding generic auto-caption presets.
- Animate text, transitions, and graphic elements with purposeful motion that supports the narrative rather than adding unnecessary effects.
- Develop compelling hooks that capture viewer attention within the first three seconds, even before any words are understood.

Required Qualifications
- Strong aesthetic judgment with the ability to evaluate whether a frame or sequence works visually.
- Proficiency in color grading and the ability to intentionally select and explain visual looks.
- Genuine sound design skills beyond simply placing background music.
- Expertise in premium editing software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro (CapCut is not acceptable).
- Exceptional attention to detail evident in the final video product.
- Ability to vary creative approaches so that each video feels fresh and distinct, avoiding repetitive styles.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- This role is remote and involves working directly with a creative strategist who provides real-time feedback.
- The expected workload is 1 to 2 videos per week with a 48-hour turnaround per brief.
- Compensation details will be determined based on experience and fit.

This position is not suitable for editors who primarily assemble clips with auto-generated captions or specialize in user-generated content (UGC) editing, as the craft and expectations differ significantly.

Candidates interested in applying should submit two of their best high-end video edits—showcasing original design work rather than simple assembly—along with a brief explanation of their creative choices for each. Applicants are encouraged to review sample ads provided by the company to understand the expected quality and style before applying.
