Video Editor

Shark Innovation Labs is seeking a skilled Adobe After Effects Specialist with expertise in 3D workflows to join our Marketing Department at our offices in Karachi, Lahore, or Faisalabad. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming raw footage into polished, broadcast-ready content. This position demands a creative professional with a sharp eye for detail, strong communication abilities, and advanced proficiency in video editing and compositing software.

Key Responsibilities

- Concept and Storyboarding Pipeline Integration: Design and implement comprehensive motion graphics pipelines, including concept creation, storyboarding, asset preparation, compositing, and final output. Develop modular, reusable templates using pre-compositions, essential graphics panels, and expression-driven controls to enhance workflow efficiency for recurring projects.

- Virtual Production & Green Screen Compositing: Composite green screen footage with Unreal Engine-generated 3D environments, ensuring precise camera matching and lighting consistency. Perform advanced compositing tasks such as keying with Keylight and Primatte, rotoscoping using Roto Brush 2, and reconstructing multi-layer scenes. Seamlessly integrate 3D elements into 2D footage through camera tracking, parallax layering, depth of field simulation, and lighting passes to achieve photorealistic effects.

- Camera Tracking and Match-Moving Between Engines: Utilize virtual camera tools in Unreal and Unity to capture real-time camera movements. Transfer this data into After Effects to accurately combine 2D/3D elements, motion graphics, and visual effects overlays.

- Advanced Tracking and Stabilization: Conduct complex motion and planar tracking using Mocha AE, perform object removal, and stabilize footage. Apply match-moving techniques to blend visual effects with live-action sequences effectively.

- 3D Asset Pipeline and Optimization: Import and optimize 3D assets (FBX, OBJ, Alembic) for compatibility with After Effects and real-time engines. Employ proper UV mapping, texture baking, and Level of Detail (LOD) optimization to ensure efficient rendering and post-production workflows.

- Color Pipeline and Finishing Workflows: Execute advanced color correction and grading using Lumetri Color, Curves, and LUTs. Maintain color-managed workflows suitable for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms by adhering to appropriate bit depth, color profiles, and export presets.

- Audio and Effects Synchronization: Add music, graphics, and special effects by synchronizing complex animations with sound cues through waveform analysis and time remapping. Mix and balance audio layers to complement motion graphics and enhance storytelling.
