Video Editor

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team, focusing on social media content and short-form videos such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for storytelling, editing, and sound design, with the ability to create engaging videos that capture attention within seconds. You will work closely with the creative and marketing teams to produce content that aligns with brand guidelines and campaign goals, ensuring videos are both visually appealing and effective in driving audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into compelling videos with a clear narrative flow.
- Craft strong opening hooks within the first few seconds to maximize viewer retention.
- Edit user-generated content (UGC) and lifestyle videos while maintaining a natural and authentic feel.
- Incorporate captions, text animations, transitions, motion graphics, and other visual effects as needed.
- Select appropriate music, voiceovers, and sound effects, adjusting audio levels for optimal sound quality.
- Produce ASMR-style videos to enhance sensory engagement.
- Create product videos that highlight features and benefits without appearing overly promotional.
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends, viral content, trending sounds, memes, and editing styles, applying them thoughtfully.
- Ensure all videos are consistent with the brand’s visual identity, including colors, style, and tone.
- Organize raw footage, project files, and final edits systematically for easy access and future use.
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to understand project objectives and deliver videos that meet campaign requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of professional video editing experience, preferably focused on social media content.
- A strong portfolio showcasing short-form video editing skills, particularly for social media platforms.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is a plus, especially with strong motion graphics capabilities.
- Solid understanding of video hooks, storytelling techniques, pacing, and audience retention strategies.
- Knowledge of sound design, music selection, audio mixing, and sound effects integration.
- Experience editing UGC and founder videos with a natural, engaging approach.
- Excellent visual sense for transitions, text styles, motion graphics, and overall storytelling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Awareness of current social media trends and content types that perform well across different platforms.

- Work schedule is Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- This is an on-site position located near Malir Cantt and Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi.
