Team Zealancy is seeking a skilled YouTube Video Editor with expertise in storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation to transform raw footage and creative ideas into compelling, high-retention YouTube content. This full-time role is based onsite in Karachi, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, depending on skill, portfolio, experience, and trial performance. The position primarily involves editing documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube videos, emphasizing not just technical ability but a deep understanding of why edits work to keep viewers engaged. The selection process will conclude by October 15, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery, ensuring strong storytelling and pacing.
- Develop compelling intros and hooks that create curiosity and maintain viewer attention.
- Structure videos with a focus on viewer retention through effective pacing and narrative flow.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects to enhance content.
- Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully to support storytelling.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, and creative sequences using tools like Higgsfield AI and similar platforms.
- Combine AI-generated visuals with traditional editing elements to maintain visual consistency and quality.
- Apply basic color correction and grading as needed.
- Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into engaging visual sequences.
- Accurately reproduce editing styles based on references without direct copying.
- Apply basic graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and communicate any blockers promptly.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- Solid understanding of motion design, animation, pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Good typography and layout judgment.
- Basic skills in color correction and grading.
- Strong ability to select and integrate B-roll effectively for visual storytelling.
- Excellent project organization and asset management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows, including familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar tools.
- Capability to generate, refine, and integrate AI visuals into professional edits while maintaining visual consistency, realism, and continuity.

- Familiarity with modern creator-led editing styles and quality long-form content.
- Strong English comprehension for working with English-language scripts.
- Insight into purposeful creative decisions versus decorative effects, especially regarding AI-generated visuals.
- Experience or active study of high-quality creator-led channels such as Johnny Harris and Colin & Samir.
- Portfolio showcasing strong intros, documentary and talking-head editing, long-form storytelling, motion graphics, typography, sound design, pacing, viewer retention, and AI-assisted visual work.
- Creative judgment, attention to detail, professional communication, receptiveness to feedback, ownership, accountability, consistency, deadline management, curiosity, adaptability to new editing and AI tools, and long-term commitment.

Bonus Points:
- Experience with Higgsfield AI and AI image or video generation.
- Skills in prompt development and understanding visual continuity in AI-generated sequences.
- Strong motion graphics expertise and documentary storytelling experience.
- Background in creator-led YouTube content and AI-assisted post-production workflows.

Compensation and Growth:
Final compensation and role level will be determined by portfolio quality, technical skills, creative judgment, experience, and trial performance. Selected candidates may be eligible for performance-based earnings, revenue sharing, performance partnership opportunities, and medical benefits as per company policy.
