Video Editor

Nitrate Media, a dynamic production studio based in Karachi, specializes in creating TV commercials, digital video content, corporate documentaries, and social media material for various brands. As part of our growth, we are assembling an in-house team dedicated to delivering consistent monthly content for our brand clients. We are currently seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team and contribute to both client projects and internal productions, including interview reels, fashion and lifestyle videos, corporate presentations, and longer-format content. The role involves managing projects from raw footage through client feedback to final delivery, ensuring high-quality output that meets deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit a variety of video formats, including short-form reels (up to 3 minutes) and long-form videos.
- Perform colour correction and grading to achieve a polished and consistent visual style.
- Incorporate effects, transitions, titles, and basic motion graphics or animations.
- Add subtitles, captions, lower thirds, music, and sound elements to enhance the videos.
- Deliver final videos in multiple resolutions and aspect ratios, such as 4K, 1080p, 9:16, 4:5, and 16:9.
- Manage client revision rounds effectively and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Organize and archive project files and footage systematically for easy retrieval.

Required Qualifications
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both short-form and long-form video editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for editing tasks.
- Skilled in colour grading, preferably using DaVinci Resolve.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for creating effects and basic animations.
- Experience handling high-resolution footage, including 4K and above.
- A keen eye for pacing, colour accuracy, and storytelling through video.
- Ability to work quickly while incorporating client feedback constructively.
- Possession of a personal editing setup (computer and software) capable of processing 4K footage smoothly.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection to facilitate large file transfers.
- Residency in Karachi, with availability for in-person work as required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional editing experience.
