Video Editor

Kodesinc is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience producing engaging short-form social media content, as well as videos tailored for digital products and international clients. This role requires a strong eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual composition to create polished videos that effectively communicate product features and benefits across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and others.
- Transform raw footage, scripts, screen recordings, and other assets into compelling videos.
- Produce clear and engaging digital product videos that explain apps, features, benefits, and usage.
- Apply creative cuts, transitions, captions, motion graphics, sound effects, and maintain appropriate pacing.
- Adapt videos to meet the specific requirements and formats of different social media channels.
- Collaborate closely with the team to understand content needs and deliver videos within deadlines.
- Ensure consistency in visual style, branding, and overall video quality across all projects.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of professional video editing experience.
- A strong portfolio showcasing relevant video editing work is mandatory; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
- Proven experience creating short-form social media content.
- Familiarity with producing product or app explainer and promotional videos.
- Solid understanding of storytelling techniques, pacing, transitions, captions, and visual composition.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience creating complete videos using AI tools, including generating visuals, scenes, voiceovers, avatars, animations, or other AI-generated assets, and integrating them into polished final videos.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience working with international clients is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI video generation and editing platforms such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Sora, HeyGen, CapCut AI, or comparable tools is a plus.
