The Video Editor role at Orbion Studios involves transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content that meets project goals and adheres to brand standards. This full-time, on-site position based in Lahore requires close collaboration with animation and production teams throughout the production cycle. Daily responsibilities include editing video clips, applying transitions and effects, synchronizing audio, and integrating basic motion graphics. The role also involves color grading to maintain visual mood and consistency, as well as preparing final deliverables in formats suitable for various digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and edit raw video footage into cohesive, high-quality content aligned with project objectives and brand guidelines.
- Apply transitions, effects, and synchronize audio to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
- Perform color grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and contrast across all video content.
- Integrate basic motion graphics and graphics elements to support narrative and visual impact.
- Collaborate closely with 3D artists, producers, and other creative team members to ensure seamless final output.
- Prepare and export deliverables in appropriate formats tailored for different digital platforms.
- Maintain attention to detail with strong timing and pacing to deliver polished final products.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in video editing and production, with a solid understanding of end-to-end post-production workflows.
- Proficiency in color grading techniques and an eye for visual mood, contrast, and color consistency.
- Ability to create and incorporate basic motion graphics to enhance video storytelling.
- Familiarity with industry-standard editing and post-production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent timing, and the ability to follow creative briefs and brand guidelines accurately.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with on-site creative and technical teams.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or related fields is preferred.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing work is required for consideration.
