Video Editor - Mid Level

A47 is seeking a skilled Video Editor to create compelling, high-quality video content for our news, social, and marketing channels. This role involves working with a variety of footage, including AI-generated material, live reporting assets, and branded content, transforming them into engaging stories that resonate with audiences. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with creative intuition, having experience in editing for entertainment channels or commercial advertising, either within Pakistan or internationally.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce short-form videos tailored for social media platforms.
- Cut and deliver long-form content such as news features, brand documentaries, and campaign videos.
- Synchronize visuals with audio, music, and on-screen pacing to create a seamless viewing experience.
- Craft emotionally impactful edits by carefully managing timing, cuts, and transitions.
- Select and align music tracks and sound elements to complement the tone and message of each piece.
- Layer sound design, including ambient audio, effects, and transitions, to enhance production quality.
- Perform color grading and correction to maintain visual consistency across all outputs.
- Develop motion graphics and animated elements using After Effects when required.
- Optimize video output for various platform-specific formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet production deadlines.
- Organize and manage project files, assets, and timelines efficiently to support scalable workflows.
- Incorporate feedback promptly and effectively without compromising quality.
- Stay updated on evolving video trends, editing styles, and platform algorithm changes.

Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on video editing experience with both short and long-form content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Experience working with entertainment channels or commercial advertisements, locally or internationally.
- Ability to deliver fast turnarounds while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong understanding of audio-visual timing, pacing, and rhythm-based editing techniques.
- Proven capability to produce cinematic, story-driven video content.
- Experience creating content optimized for platforms like Reels, Shorts, and YouTube.
- Competence in sound selection, audio layering, and mixing.
- Working knowledge of motion graphics, visual effects, and on-screen transitions.
- Adaptability in formatting content for multiple platforms and screen ratios.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a refined visual and aesthetic sensibility.
- Well-organized approach to file management and project structuring.
- Professional proficiency in English communication.
